How We Plan to go to Disney World for FREE

This is a very big claim I'm making, but I'm not joking. My family and I are saving enough to go to Disney World for FREE. How do we plan to do this?
Free gift cards. Free? FREE? Yes.

My mom and I participate in SwagBucks and it is the easiest way to earn free money through gift cards to save up for clothes, makeup, and even trips. You get points for participating in surveys, polls, and getting samples and saying what you think about them.

As of April 2015, we have been saving for our Disney World trip. We now have $1,610 in gift cards alone (not counting all of our savings in coins and recycling cans). That's almost enough to cover the cost of our tickets as a family of 5! We plan to visit in Spring 2017, so we need to save up for our food and possibly our hotel stay on Disney.
So, how do you do it?

#1. Surveys
There are several opportunities to earn SwagBucks (SB) through taking surveys on different things that pertain to you. For instance, if you own pets, and you declare that you do on your personal survey, then, SB's engine will search for Pet or Pet Food related surveys. Some of these surveys could be for 400 points or even 40 points. Sometimes you'll be taken out because you weren't the person they were looking for, but you'll still get 1 point for your effort, and EVERY single SB counts to meet your goal.


#2. Daily Polls, Watch TV, nCrave
By doing the daily poll, you earn 2 points. For the watching TV, I usually open a tab and have it open as I'm doing other things on the Internet, and it's an easy way to win SBs. nCrave is also usually playing in another tab where I occasionally just switch the pages to continue earning points.

#3. Searching
Nowadays, we Google everything. Using SB as your search engine, when you need to search for your homework questions, directions, or anything, can earn you quick SB. It happens at random times depending on how many times you search. One time I earned 99 SB on 1 search.


#4. Shopping
By doing your online shopping through SB, this is the best way to earn major SB. For example, by shopping through SB on Hotels.com I get 8 SBs for every dollar I spend. If I spend 3 nights at a $180 hotel, I get 4,320 SBs! That means you almost have enough for a $50 gift card!

#5. Games
You can earn up to 10 SwagBucks by playing SwagJump on their Gaming website. (They are an easy 10 points)

Now, they don't exactly have Disney gift cards, but they do have Target & Walmart.Those stores let you buy gift cards with gift cards, and so we save up for Target gift cards to buy Disney gift cards. Plus, we save 5% by using our Red Card, so you get a discount on the gift cards too! More money for Disney!

Yesterday, I visited Stinson Beach and it was COLD. We expected this (we always look at our weather apps) so we brought sweaters and pants just in case we wanted to change after we got wet. As we looked around, we saw people in their bikinis shivering under their umbrellas and wrapped in towels trying to keep warm. These are some of the things I would recommend doing: 1. Check the weather!  Because this is the bay area by San Francisco, it is usually cold year round. On the off chance that it is warm, I would still bring a light sweater just in case. Ways to Keep the Disney Alive (At Home)

Anyone that knows me, knows that I'm a huge Disney fan. I can thank my family for that. Although we don't really frequent the parks as much as we'd like to, we've found curious ways to cure our Disney fever when we're away from our kingdom. I mean, we try to make the most of it when we're feeling away too long from the parks. #1. Movie Nights As a countdown to our Disney trips, we plan weekly movie nights. Now, these are more than just simply watching a Disney movie and getting on with our life. No, we go all out. I usually plan them and revolve them around what my siblings like to do. We do activities involving the movie, games, obstacle courses, and cook (most of the time), but everything has to relate back to the movie. Everyone really enjoys them!
